Plant Controller

Job Responsibilities

• Financial professional with expertise in developing and maintaining standard costs.
• Capable of linking operational metrics to plant performance.
• As a member of the plant management team, this position is expected to engage fully in the running of the plant to meet financial objectives.
• Position reports to the Plant Manager with a strong dotted line to the Division Controller.

Requirements

• Bachelor degree in accounting or Bachelor degree in finance with accounting through cost and intermediate
• At least seven years of accounting experience with a minimum of three years as a plant controller in a repetitive product manufacturing environment. Relevant experience in a cost accounting/manufacturing role may be considered in lieu of controllership responsibility
• Demonstrated ability to link and analyze plant operational metrics to financial performance
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Capable of working independently and managing multiple priorities
• Excellent written and verbal communications with the ability to share knowledge at appropriate levels of the organization
• Customer focused with strong attention to detail and capable of delivering accurate, quality results in a timely, consistent, and professional manner
• Strong interpersonal and team building skills including the ability to interact comfortably and respectfully with all levels of plant and corporate personnel
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills

Desired Qualifications

• Prior supervisory experience strongly preferred
• CMA, CPA or other professional certification
• Experience with SAP, JD Edwards or similar ERP system
